Сегодня исполнилось 35 лет со дня смерти самого патриотичного из русских писателей – Владимира Владимировича Набокова. Никто, кроме него, не передал так остро и так трагично чувство разлуки с Родиной (ведь он с ней расстался в 20 лет – навсегда!). Сейчас его принято шельмовать, подчеркивать, что «он писал про извращенцев» (а Достоевский писал про убийц – и что дальше?) Но именно поэтому не будет банальным, «школьным» жестом склонить голову в этот день.
Сейчас переходим с порога мирского
в ту область… как хочешь ее назови:
пустыня ли, смерть, отрешенье от слова,
иль, может быть, проще: молчанье любви.
Молчанье далекой дороги тележной,
где в пене цветов колея не видна,
молчанье отчизны — любви безнадежной —
молчанье зарницы, молчанье зерна.
Святым делом было бы перенести прах Набокова из Швейцарии в имение его родителей - любимое, никогда не забываемое им Рождествено. Пусть хоть после смерти обретет он свою Россию.

Today marks the 35th anniversary of the death of the most patriotic of Russian writers - Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov.
