Scissor Sisters — американская поп-группа, созданная в 2001 году. Группа получила известность после выпуска занявшей вершины чартов и номинированной на Грэмми оригинальной танцевальной интерпретации песни Pink Floyd «Comfortably Numb» и последующего дебютного альбома «Scissor Sisters» (2004 год). Альбом возымел успех, особенно в Великобритании (которую группа называет своим «духовным домом»), где он занял первое место, стал самым продаваемым альбомом 2004 года, сертифицирован как платиновый BPI и получил три награды от BRIT Awards в 2005 году, а осенью 2006 г. они покоряют британский чарт синглов с диско-хитом «I Don't Feel Like Dancin'», в написании и записи которого принимал участие легендарный Элтон Джон. В 2004 году Боно, фронтмен рок-группы U2, описал Scissor Sisters как «лучшую поп-группу в мире».
В 2012 году участники Scissor Sisters объявили об уходе группы в творческий отпуск на неопределённый срок.

Scissor Sisters is an American pop group created in 2001. The group gained fame after releasing the top of the charts and the Grammy-nominated original dance interpretation of Pink Floyd’s song “Comfortably Numb” and their subsequent debut album, “Scissor Sisters” (2004). The album was successful, especially in the UK (which the group calls its “spiritual home”), where it won first place, became the best-selling album of 2004, certified as platinum BPI and received three awards from BRIT Awards in 2005, and in the fall of 2006. They conquer the British singles chart with a disco hit “I Don't Feel Like Dancin '”, in the writing and recording of which the legendary Elton John took part. In 2004, Bono, frontman of the U2 rock band, described Scissor Sisters as "the best pop group in the world."
In 2012, members of Scissor Sisters announced the departure of the group on creative leave for an indefinite period.
