[Аргентина 21/11. Буэнос-Айрес]
Не дорога до пункта назначения, а шаги по новой земле, не закладки в путеводителе, а первые заломы на карте, первое слово на чужом языке. Первый день. Всегда странный и неоднозначный.

Около 2 лет назад я поняла, что в целях сохранения любви к Европе мне необходимо увидеть и другие части света. В результате с нами случилась Шри-Ланка ???????? , а потом нашлись и билеты в Аргентину ???????? . И вот мы тут, то есть там, за океаном, на другом континенте! Всё ещё придавлены часовыми поясами и уже обожжены солнцем. Тем самым, что красуется на флаге ????.

Осознать, что от дома тебя отделяет бескрайний океан - невозможно, если ты не проплыл все эти тысячи миль на корабле. Особенно если ты в столице, которую не обошло влияние Европы. #Буэнос-Айрес — кровный брат Парижа и Мадрида с их монументальностью, дворцами по поводу и без, балкончиками, увитыми чугуном, памятниками генералам и вождям, палатками перед правительственными зданиями и митингами на главных площадях.

Кстати о последних. Мятеж и борьба - темы, которые так или иначе всплывают даже при беглом осмотре Буэнос-Айреса. Например, район San Telmo, в котором мы живём, известен тем, что здесь в начале XIX в. местные жители, потомки колонизаторов, сумели дать отпор британским войскам без всякой помощи Испании. И вдохновившись этим успехом, вскоре заявили о независимости города. А на площади Мая вот уже 40 лет каждый четверг собираются “Madres de Plaza de Mayo”- матери, чьи дети «пропали» во времена военной диктатуры. Если верить путеводителю, то движение имеет свою силу и в 2014 году был найден очередной пропавший.

Как видите, сегодня мы были прилежными туристами: обошли пару-тройку исторических районов, прочитали несколько страниц #LonelyPlanet и выпили по первому бокалу Malbec’а. Поняли? Осознали? Нет! Но у нас ещё много времени ????????.

Not the road to the destination, but steps on the new land, not bookmarks in the guidebook, but the first creases on the map, the first word in a foreign language. First day. Always strange and ambiguous.

About 2 years ago, I realized that in order to preserve my love for Europe, I need to see other parts of the world. As a result, Sri Lanka happened to us ???????? and then there were also tickets to Argentina ???????? . And here we are, that is, there, across the ocean, on another continent! Still pinned by time zones and already burned by the sun. Thus, that flaunts the flag ????.

It’s impossible to realize that a vast ocean separates you from your home - it’s impossible if you haven’t sailed all those thousands of miles on a ship. Especially if you're in the capital, which has not bypassed the influence of Europe. Buenos Aires is the blood brother of Paris and Madrid with their monumentality, with or without palaces, balconies covered with cast iron, monuments to generals and chiefs, tents in front of government buildings and rallies in the main squares.

Speaking of the latter. Insurgency and struggle are themes that somehow emerge even during a cursory examination of Buenos Aires. For example, the San Telmo district in which we live is known for being here at the beginning of the 19th century. the locals, the descendants of the colonialists, were able to repel the British troops without any help from Spain. And inspired by this success, soon declared the independence of the city. And on May Square, for the past 40 years, every Thursday “Madres de Plaza de Mayo” gathers - mothers whose children “disappeared” during the days of military dictatorship. If you believe the guidebook, the movement has its strength and in 2014 another missing person was found.

As you see, today we were diligent tourists: we went around a couple of historic districts, read several #LonelyPlanet pages and drank some Malbec’s first glass. Do you understand? Realized? Not! But we still have a lot of time ????????.
