Ключи от Храма Гроба Господня хранятся у мусульман, на уровне 3 этажа уже 250 лет стоит деревянная лестница, т.к. армяне и греки не могут договориться о её утилизации, Башня Давида - это дворец Ирода, крестоносцы армян выгнали, а халиф Умар ибн аль-Хоттаб их вернул, под одним из предполагаемых мест проведения Тайной вечери находится одно из предполагаемых мест погребения царя Давида. Это не плод моего больного воображения, а реальность города #Иерусалим.

Третий день, как вы понимаете, удался! Началось всё с обзорной экскурсии по городу - 3 ч галопом по кварталам: армянский, еврейский, христианский, мусульманский. Вокруг - пестрые лавки, громкие голоса, запахи специй и кальянов, хиджабы, кипы, рясы, походные рюкзаки и зонтики-указатели гидов - шоковая терапия для всех органов чувств.

С непривычки валимся с ног уже к обеду. Хочется бежать в тишину и тень. Бежим. На Масличную гору. Там Гефсиманский сад с 8 древними оливковыми деревьями. Там белые камни еврейского кладбища, хранящие останки иудейских пророков и со дня на день ожидающие Машиаха. Там весь город... нет, не как на ладони, только одна ладонь может удержать такую ношу. Мираж в пелене света и дымки.

Обратный путь - через Долину Царей, она же Кедронская, она же Иосафатова. Спешим под землю, в туннели Западной стены! Поражают три аспекта. Во-первых, как настойчиво и бережно учёные занимаются этим вопросом, несмотря на бесконечные ограничения. Во-вторых, как в к. I в. д.н.э. #Ирод перекроил гору под Второй Храм. Он выровнял и расширил верхнюю платформу, убрав слишком высокие участки и подняв слишком низкие за счёт подпорных арок. Было 250х250 м, а стало 500х300 м! В-третьих, таинство соприкосновения с историей. Около 12 м стены, спрятанной под землёй. Облицовочный камень, брошенный на улице. Куда бежал его создатель? Не от пожара ли, который разрушил Храм? Надеялся ли он вернуться? Прикосновение к иродианским камням и попытка проникнуть взглядом сквозь стены: неужели где-то там Святая Святых?
