"… if too many lawsuits are filed against a particular vaccine – even in the absence of proof that the vaccine causes harm – the cost of fighting the lawsuits can lead a company to raise the price of a vaccine, or even halt its production completely."
"Finally, the vaccine suffered from poor coverage in the press. Claims about side effects, particularly about the vaccine causing arthritis, were widely reported in the absence of evidence, leading to confusion about the safety of the vaccine and likely discouraging people who might otherwise have received it. All of these factors combined to the declining use of the vaccine before it was finally discontinued in 2002."

The shout is with you again. [id7586 | Andrian] already once exhorted peers to revaccinate against diphtheria and tetanus, and I will continue the baton.
Having sacrificed a chervonets for the benefit of science and curiosity, I found out that I got zilch from the antibodies that appeared after vaccination against hepatitis B virus and measles. Hepatitis B is vaccinated in three administrations, and the public health service believes that this is enough for the rest of your life. We were massively vaccinated at school in 2002 - now my level of antibodies is on the threshold. They vaccinate against measles in two doses, and again it is believed that this is enough for life. I got the measles vaccine in 1991 and 1995, and now I have antibodies with gulkin nose - 0.02 IU / ml.
Do not forget about whooping cough. This year in Russia we are waiting for "Adasel", which will vaccinate adults. Until now, Russia has not had a pertussis vaccine for adults. Pregnant in the second or third trimester, this is especially true for you. Well, as for diphtheria and tetanus, then with this the calendar also prescribes revaccination once every ten years.
In general, whatever you want, and I will go for the “Priorix” and “Angerix”.
And finally, it’s sad about why you need to go about vaccinations and pay attention to anti-vaccines. Many letters about the history of Lyme disease vaccine: https://www.historyofvaccines.org/content/articles/history-lyme-disease-vaccine Briefly for those who are too lazy to read: the vaccine reached the third phase of clinical trials, but was withdrawn from production and never entered the market due to a flurry of lawsuits directly to the “Glaxo Smith Klein”, which is tired of spending money on litigation - all this despite the fact that the vaccine has proved its effectiveness and safety in clinical trials. Well, lawsuits about anything can be brought - otherwise why write in the instructions that animals cannot be washed in the washing machine?
"... if too many lawsuits are filed against a particular vaccine - even in the absence of proof that the vaccine causes harm - the cost of fighting the lawsuits can lead a company to raise the price of a vaccine, or even halt its production completely. "
