Я долго терпел, но более не в силах. Концентрация новостей о либертарианстве, визионерстве Рэнд и пр. в моей жизни за последние пару недель превысила всяческие разумные пределы. Я понял, что имею кое-что сказать.
Согласно матушке нашей Алисе Зиновьевне Розенбаум, сраную Америкашку к концу книги постиг окончательный и бесповоротный пиздец. С момента начала деятельности профсоюза забастовщиков тов. Голта на момент пиздеца прошло примерно 12-14 лет. Судя по антуражу, действие происходит где-то в районе 20-30 гг. 20 века.
Это всё присказка, а сказка - впереди:
Для упрощения опустим критику концепции золота как объективной меры стоимости, и примем правила, установленные А. Розенбаум.
Итак, с одной стороны, жители долины капиталистов считают, что за любую услугу, осуществлённую резидентами долины, нужно платить, по возможности золотом. Нам неоднократно сообщают, как мистер Г., угостив миссис Т. яишенкой, включает её стоимость в общий счёт проживания.
С другой стороны, согласно неоднократным признаниям Голта и иных жителей долины, некий Рагнар Данискьярд задался целью абсолютно безвозмездно компенсировать настоящим и будущим резидентам долины ВСЕ налоги, изъятые у них левацким правительством за весь период их предпринимательской деятельности. Добивается этой цели старина Рагнар весьма простым методом: грабит корованы леваков всего мира и привозит вырученное золотишко прямиком в долину. Попутно он прихватизирует ценное имущество, которого бедные предприниматели по той или иной причине не в силах произвести на своих вундермашинах.
Теперь считаем: ВВП США за 1920-1929 гг. вырос примерно на 44% - с 687 до 977 млрд. долл. В книге А. Розенбаум экономика как минимум стагнировала, а как максимум – съёживалась. Давайте считать, что за 10 лет она УПАЛА на 44%, т.е. с 687 млрд до 302 млрд (или примерно на 38 млрд в год). В модели мира, предложенной Рэнд, основным двигателем прогресса является достаточно ограниченное количество творцов-капиталистов, на которых и держится вся экономика. Не желая рисовать какие-то совсем безумные цифры, я бы предположил, что на таких капиталистов приходится ну никак не меньше 25% ВВП. Я был и рад был указать меньшую цифру, но, на мой взгляд, и эта сильно занижена. Уход экономических агентов, генерирующих 3-5 процента ВВП, мы видели, и на апокалиптический кризис это явно не тянуло. Т.О. за десять лет, с учётом падения производства, капиталисты напроизводили товаров на 1,3 трлн долларов. Если брать прогрессивную шкалу налогообложения, действовавшую в США 20-х, то с этого триллиона капиталисты обязаны были уплатить от 4 до 24%. Судя по картине, нарисованной Рэнд, с них снимали как минимум 100, но мы примем серединочку – 15%.
Итак, Данискьярд решил возместить нашим беглецам как минимум 204 млрд долларов золотом только за 20-е годы 20 века. Забудем прошлое и будем считать, что отважный пират проебал все учётные книжки до 20-х гг.
Таким образом, мы имеем чуйскую долину с несколькими сотнями (в пределе тысячами) буржуа, в сообщество которых самоотверженный американо-норвежец закачал по самым скромным подсчётам 200 млрд неденоменированых расовых американских долларов. Золотом. Безвозмездно.
В подобных условиях резидентам долины достаточно монопенисуально, 25 центов платить за яишенку или 25 тысяч долларов.

Средняя сумма годовых расходов американского рабочего в 1929 году составляла примерно 120 долларов.
