им не дано,
Мф.13:12. ибо кто имеет, тому дано будет и приумножится, а кто не имеет, у того
отнимется и то, что имеет;
Видя многую неясность в том, что сказал Христос, ученики, как общие попечители народа,
приступают к Господу с вопросом. Он же говорит: «вам дано знать тайны», то есть так как вы
имеете настроенность и стремление, то вам дано, а тем же, кто не имеет старания, не дано. Ибо
получает тот, кто ищет. «Ищите, — сказал, — и дастся вам». Смотри же, как здесь Господь
сказал притчу, а приняли ее одни только ученики, потому что они искали. Итак, хорошо,
скажем, что тому, кто имеет старание, дается знание и приумножается, а у того, кто не имеет
старания и соответственной мысли, взято будет и то, что он думал иметь, то есть если кто и
малую искру добра имеет, то и ту погасит, не раздувая ее духом и не зажигая духовными
делами.
