Однажды во время молитвы преподобного Иоанна Вострского у него открылось духовное видение и он узрел бесов. Не смея приблизиться к нему, они в то же время не отходили. Преподобный Иоанн спросил у бесов, чего они боятся. «У вас есть три великие вещи, которых мы боимся: одну вы носите на шее, другой вы омываетесь, третью вкушаете в церкви». – «А что из этих трех для вас страшнее?» — спросил преподобный. «То, что вкушаете в церкви», — ответили бесы.
Что тут тебе неясно? «Одну вы носите на шее» — это крест, «другой вы омываетесь» — это святая вода, «третью вкушаете в церкви» — это святое причастие. Крест – знамение победы Спасителя, Его любви, пронесенной через страдания. Святая вода и омывает нас, и сама означает духовную и телесную чистоту. Во время святого причастия нам преподают под видом хлеба и вина Тело и Кровь Господа. Что же удивительного, что бесы боятся этих святынь и навевают людям свои:
1. Навевают избегать страданий и сочувствия (так они хотят уничтожить в нашем сердце любовь и человеколюбие);
2. Всячески навевают греховную нечистоту (этим они хотят приблизить людей к себе и отдалить от пречистого Господа);
3. Делаю все, чтобы наша душа получала не Божественную пищу, но только земную, мирскую, как животные (именно святого причастия бесы больше всего и боятся, потому что причастие соединяет нас с Богом).
