Христианство есть религия сильных людей. Христианство учит обузданию собственных страстей, таких, как чревоугодие, похоть, сребролюбие, гнев, уныние, тщеславие и гордость, воздержанию от греха даже в мыслях, но самое главное – совершенствованию в любви к Богу и к ближним, восходя к божественной любви, как сказал Сын Отцу о своих учениках: да любовь, которою Ты возлюбил Меня, в них будет, и Я в них (Ин 17:26). Таково учение Христа, и только сильный духом и волей человек может принять его. Древние духи злобы, павшие ангелы, будут бороться с ним, и жизнь его станет духовной битвой, но силою Христовой и благодатью Божией он сможет победить тех, кто по природе сильнее человека.
Согласно христианскому учению, человек создан сильным и призван быть сильным. То, что на протяжении двух тысячелетий Православная Церковь не снизила столь высокую планку своего нравственного идеала, свидетельствует о том, что он в Ней реально достижим. И примеры тому – не только сотни тысяч святых, но и миллионы простых православных христиан, воплотивших христианский идеал в своей жизни. Самому человеку это невозможно, Богу же возможно всё (Мф 19:26), и Господь Иисус Христос, Которому возможно все, дает силу совершать и то, что кажется превышающим возможности человека.
Перед каждым из нас стоит выбор – остаться слабым или стать сильным. Плыть по течению – к губительной стремнине – или против течения – к спасительному берегу. Никто не избежит этого выбора, и лишь от самого человека зависит, к чему он придет в итоге.
Только нужно знать и помнить, что с тех, кому надлежало стать сильным, но кто по своей воле остался слабым, спросится по всей строгости – в свое время.
Сам Господь говорит: Царство Небесное силою берется, и употребляющие усилие восхищают его (Мф. 11, 12). Побеждающий наследует все, и буду ему Богом, и он будет Мне сыном. Боязливых же и неверных, и скверных и убийц, и любодеев и чародеев, и идолослужителей и всех лжецов участь в озере, горящем огнем и серою. Это смерть вторая (Апок 21:7–8).

Christianity teaches the curbing of one’s own passions, such as gluttony, lust, love of money, anger, despondency, vanity and pride, abstinence from sin even in thoughts, but the most important thing is to perfect oneself in love for God and neighbors, ascending to divine love, as he said The Son of the Father about his disciples: yes the love by which You loved Me will be in them, and I in them (John 17:26). Each of us has a choice - to remain weak or to become strong. Go with the flow - to the fatal rapids - or against the current - to the saving shore. No one will escape this choice, and it depends only on the person himself what he will come to in the end.
You just need to know and remember that those who were to become strong, but who voluntarily remained weak, will be asked in all severity - in due time.
The Lord Himself says: The kingdom of heaven is taken by force, and those who use it will delight him (Matt. 11, 12). He who overcomes will inherit everything, and I will be his God, and he will be my son. The fearful and unfaithful, and the nasty and murderers, and fornication and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, will live in a lake burning with fire and brimstone. This is the second death (Apoc 21: 7–8).
