Интересный факт, в Сиэтле есть линии метро, по которым ходят автобусы. Выглядит следующим образом: автобус съезжает с трассы, проходит специальный шлагбаум и въезжает в тоннель. При этом рельсы утоплены в землю, как у наших трамвайных путей, а платформа на уровне с площадкой для посадки в автобус, никаких ступенек, вышел и зашёл. Ощущения очень интересные, но скорее просто от непривычности.
Сделано это, чтобы связать два разных способа перемещения в один и обойтись без пересадок. Многие дороги проходят прямо сквозь горы, это сильно экономит время и бюджет, чем если бы они были построены в обход.
