Серный остров? Серный мост!
На Малой Неве есть небольшой остров, который называется Серный. Это один из многочисленных островов дельты реки Невы в черте Санкт-Петербурга. Находится он к северу от Василеостровского района города - острова Декабристов и к югу от Петровского острова Петроградского района у левого берега Малой Невы ниже по ее течению от Тучкова моста.
Своим названием остров обязан складам извести и серы, которые располагались здесь в XIX веке.
В настоящее время в Петербурге заканчивается строительство дороги и Серного моста через остров Серный.
Санкт-Петербург является крупным городом России, второй столицей государства. Естественно, что здесь множество проблем с дорогами и огромным количеством транспорта.
Серный мост соединит острова в двух районах города:
Василеостровский – остров Декабристов, где проживает более 62 тысяч человек.
Петроградский – остров Петровский.
Новый мост через Серный остров должен решить вопрос транспортного обхода центральной части города.
Согласно проекту, мост через Серный остров выйдет на Петровский остров. Оттуда автомобилисты поедут на Петроградскую сторону. В рамках контракта на сумму чуть меньше 9 миллиардов рублей должна появиться переправа через реку Ждановку.
Длина моста через Малую Неву составит около 1 километра. На новой дороге будет шестиполосное движение, тротуар и велополоса.
Новая переправа – один из стратегических объектов к чемпионату мира по футболу 2018 года. А значит, должна быть построена к лету.
