Первые айсберги появившиеся на нашем пути вызывали щенячий восторг и многочисленные щелчки затворов фотокамер. Мы не могли оторваться от этой красоты и часами стояли, внимая безупречной тишине. Массивные глыбы льда причудливой формы пронзительно голубого цвета, отражающиеся в зеркале воды - чем ли не повод поохотиться за прекрасными картинками? Эти льдины прошли длинный путь от северо-восточной части залива Баффина, где они оторвались от одного из выводных ледников, к его центральной части. Где мы повстречали их на нашем транзите с самой южной точки маршрута.

The first icebergs appearing on our way caused puppy-eyed delight and numerous camera shutter clicks. We could not tear myself away from this beauty and stood for hours listening to impeccable silence. Massive blocks of ice of whimsical form piercingly blue in color, reflected in the mirror of the water - isn’t there any reason to hunt for beautiful pictures? These ice floes went a long way from the north-eastern part of the Bay of Baffin, where they broke away from one of the outlet glaciers, to its central part. Where we met them on our transit from the southernmost point of the route.
