Докладываю, что в газете Армянского комитета по культурным связям с cоотечественниками за рубежом «Айреники Дзайн» («Голос Родины») от 14 июня 1967 г. была опубликована статья под заглавием: «Борьба армянского народа против халифата»[1]. В статье говорится о вторжении арабов в Армению в 7–9 веках нашей эры, об их злодеяниях и освободительной борьбе армян против арабского халифата.
Статья подготовлена армянским историком Арамом ТЕР-ГЕВОЖДЯНОМ по заданию редакции газеты «Айреники Дзайн» еще задолго до событий на Ближнем Востоке.
По представлению Комитета госбезопасности при Совете Министров Армянской ССР ЦК Компартии Армении принял решение о конфискации этого номера газеты.
До принятия решения о конфискации 400–500 экземпляров газеты были разосланы партийным и общественным организациям и отдельным лицам внутри республики.
По линии Комитета госбезопасности приняты возможные меры к недопущению направления этого номера за границу.
Решением Секретариата ЦК Компартии Армении Ваагн ДОВТЯН, допустивший опубликование вышеуказанной статьи, от работы редактора газеты освобожден и назначен заместителем председателя Армянского комитета по культурным связям с соотечественниками за рубежом.

I report that the newspaper of the Armenian Committee for Cultural Relations with Compatriots Abroad "Ayreniki Dzayn" ("Voice of the Motherland") of June 14, 1967 published an article entitled: "The struggle of the Armenian people against the caliphate" [1]. The article talks about the Arab invasion of Armenia in the 7th-9th centuries of our era, their atrocities and the liberation struggle of Armenians against the Arab caliphate.
The article was prepared by the Armenian historian Aram TER GEVOZHYAN on the instructions of the editorial staff of the Ayreniki Dzayn newspaper long before the events in the Middle East.
At the suggestion of the State Security Committee at the Council of Ministers of the Armenian SSR, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia decided to confiscate this issue of the newspaper.
Prior to the decision to confiscate, 400–500 copies of the newspaper were sent to party and public organizations and individuals within the republic.
Through the State Security Committee, possible measures have been taken to prevent this number from being sent abroad.
By the decision of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia, Vahagn Dovtyan, who allowed the publication of the above article, was relieved of the work of the editor of the newspaper and appointed deputy chairman of the Armenian Committee for Cultural Relations with Compatriots Abroad.
