Легенды старого Тбилиси.
Есть в Сололаки один дом. Старый, требующий немедленного ремонта, стоит он уже более века, рядом с разрушающейся армянской церковью св. Георгия. Оба здания, как будто пожилая пара смотрят друг на друга, вспоминая нелегкий двадцатый век.
Дом был построен в 1902 году по проекту тифлисского архитектора Агаджаняна и долгое время принадлежал купцу Аршаку Хачатряну. Парадная напоминает о былой роскоши, ее украшает прекрасный плафон с изображением женщины и то ли римских, то ли греческих воинов. У входа на плите, по армянски написано "Добро Пожаловать". Когда-то были здесь и изображения времен года на стенах, но глупый прораб закрасил их краской...
В 1915 году Аршак Хачатрян продал доходный дом священнику служившему в церкви напротив - Араму Теймуразянцу.
Священник и его семья жили на третьем этаже, а два первых сдавали.
Революция никак не потревожила жителей дома у церкви, а вот события 1921 года и победа большевиков в Грузии обернулась трагедией для семьи Теймуразянца.
Сам священник умер в 1921 году. Осталась вдова и дети. Дом у них отняли и отдали обществу кожевников (сапожникам). Однако, комнату для прислуги все же вернули вдове. Там она и жила до самой смерти, грустно наблюдая как меняется привычный уклад жизни, а соседняя церковь превращается в секцию бокса. Сапожники поселившиеся в доме священника воспринимали вдову, как часть своей большой семьи, жалели ее и искренне радовались успехам ее детей. А радоваться было чему! Дочь Юлиана вместе с мужем Ованесом Тер-Григоряном основали первую в советском Тбилиси Скорую помощь, другая дочь - Марг создала балетную школу в Харькове... О доме у церкви , нам рассказывал самый пожилой его житель -Владимир. Здесь, в семье сапожника он родился семьдесят лет назад.
Он на связи с потомками священника, он не дал испортить декор парадной.
Владимир рассказывает о закрытой церкви, о своём старом доме и столько в его словах печали, столько грусти, что складывается впечатления, что речь не о зданиях, а о живых, близких людях, болеющих родственниках на скорейшее выздоровление которых, он очень рассчитывает.

There she lived until her death, sadly watching how her usual way of life was changing, and the next church was turning into a boxing section. The cobblers who settled in the priest's house perceived the widow as part of their large family, they felt sorry for her and sincerely rejoiced at the success of her children. And it was something to rejoice! Julian's daughter together with her husband Hovhannes Ter-Grigoryan founded the first ambulance in Soviet Tbilisi, another daughter - Marg created a ballet school in Kharkov ... His oldest inhabitant, Vladimir, told us about the church house. Here, in the family of a shoemaker, he was born seventy years ago.
He is in touch with the descendants of the priest, he did not allow to spoil the decor of the front.
Vladimir talks about the closed church, about his old house and so much sadness in his words, so much sadness that one gets the impression that it is not about buildings, but about living, close people, ill relatives for the speedy recovery of which, he very much expects.
