Главная достопримечательность южной столицы Кыргызстана, города Ош - это, конечно, гора Сулайман Тоо. Пятиглавый известковый останец (геологи поймут) включенный в список наследия ЮНЕСКО.
Сегодня, это священное для местных мусульман место , однако гора была известна задолго до принятия ислама жителями региона. По легенде, в одной из её пещер жил Заратустра, здесь была создана Авеста...
Вокруг возвыщающейся в центре города горы много легенд. Самая известная - о библейском царе Сулеймане (Соломоне). Сулейман , как и его отец Дауд любил путешествовать по Средней Азии. Много времени проводил он в молитве Аллаху на вершине горы, позже получившей его имя. На месте, где молился Сулейман, Бабур - потомок Тамерлана и основатель династии Моголов , построил небольшую мечеть и назвал ее "Трон Сулеймана".
Многие жители Ферганской долины совершают паломничество на вершину горы, в мечеть. Я последовал их примеру.
Подняться можно с двух сторон.
Важно, что красивый вид на город обеспечен независимо от стороны подъёма.
Кстати, у подножия горы и в окрестностях есть старые мечети, мавзолеи и баня. Часть культовых построек отреставрированы с нуля, однако посетить эти памятники все равно любопытно . Также в горе уютно притаились несколько пещер для молитв. Пешеры очень святые. Считается, что одна из местных пещер имеет даже прямое сообщения с Меккой...
И всё таки, главная достопримечательность это сама гора и сакральное значение мечети наверху.
Атмосферное место. А учитывая, что здесь бывали Заратустра с царем Соломоном - атмосферное вдвойне.
