Итак, я бросил якорь в Порт-Саиде. Этаком книжном городе. Здесь выпивал Киплинг, гулял Чехов, посвящал стихи дамам Николай Степанович. В Порт - Саиде должна была стоять статуя Свободы, здесь египетские морские ворота, граница между Африкой и Азией, кофейни и кальянные, египетский шопинг и ни одного туриста.
Зачем сюда ехать?
Во первых, побывать в Порт - Саиде это не только круто, но и престижно. Только представьте, сидите вы в ноябрьском питерском баре и как бы между прочим сообщаете :"аналогичный случай произошёл со мной как-то в Порт - Саиде..."
Во вторых, здесь можно целый день кататься на пароме между Африкой и Азией.
В третьих, путешествие в Порт - Саид, это путешествие во времени. То есть, город уже не напоминает старый космополитичный Порт - Саид начала прошлого века, но декорации - то остались! Я живу в отеле 1892 года, пью кофе в кофейне 1935, а рюмку арака выпиваю в портовом кабачке времен Второй мировой.
В четвёртых, знаменитый Суэцкий канал. Одно из самых приятных занятий, это неспешно наблюдать за кораблями и чайками входящими в Суэц из Средиземного моря.
И наконец, в пятых, здесь самый вкусный в стране кофе и фалафель. И всё стоит 10 фунтов. И кофе и фалафель.
