Marc Bolan (1947-1977) was an English singer-songwriter, and musician. He was the lead singer of the Glam Rock band T. Rex. Glam rock was a rock music style that developed in the UK in the early 1970s. It was performed by musicians who wore outrageous costumes, makeup, and hairstyles, platform shoes, and glitter (the glitter describes some assortment of small, reflective particles that come in a variety of shapes and colors).
