В Израиле закончилось строительство тель-авивского музея искусств ( Tel Aviv Museum of Art), проект которого разработало архитектурное бюро из Кембриджа Preston Scott Cohen. Музей носит имя четы филантропов Херты и Пола Амир (Herta and Paul Amir) и является хранителем одной из самых крупных коллекций израильского искусства в мире. Само здание состоит из пяти уровней — два под и три над землей, — которые расположены под разными углами с целью соединить все галереи музея и позволить естественному свету проникать даже в труднодоступные участки. По мнению архитекторов, они объединили две, казалось бы, непримиримые парадигмы музея современного искусства: музей «нейтральных белых коробок», обеспечивающий оптимальное и гибкое пространство для выставки, и музей «спектакля», который заставляет людей двигаться и предлагает уникальный социальный опыт, создав тем самым музей нового типа.

In Israel, the construction of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art (Tel Aviv Museum of Art) was completed, the project of which was developed by the architectural bureau from Cambridge Preston Scott Cohen. The museum is named after four philanthropists Herta and Paul Amir and is the custodian of one of the largest collections of Israeli art in the world. The building itself consists of five levels - two below and three above the ground - which are located at different angles in order to connect all the galleries of the museum and allow natural light to penetrate even into hard-to-reach areas. According to the architects, they combined two seemingly irreconcilable paradigms of the museum of modern art: the museum of “neutral white boxes”, which provides an optimal and flexible space for the exhibition, and the museum of “performance”, which makes people move and offers a unique social experience, creating most museum of the new type.
