Однажды сидела швея на берегу реки, шила и обронила наперсток в реку. Заплакала швея горькими слезами. Появился перед ней Господь и спросил:
- О чем плачешь, женщина?
- О, мой наперсток упал в воду, а я только шитьем могу зарабатывать и поддерживать мою семью!
Тогда Господь достал из воды золотой наперсток с сапфирами.
- Это твой?
- Нет.
Тогда достал он золотой наперсток с рубинами.
-Это твой?
-Нет.
Тогда достал он простенький кожаный наперсток
-Это твой?
- Да, мой.
Господь оценил честность женщины и подарил ей все три наперстка.
Несколько лет спустя эта же швея гуляла у реки с мужем, и вдруг муж упал в реку и не появился на поверхности воды. Заплакала женщина, и вновь явился Господь и решил помочь ей. Извлек он из воды Джорджа Клуни.
- Это твой муж?
- Да, - ответила швея.
- Ты солгала! - рассердился Господь.
- Да, я солгала, - заплакала женщина.- Прости меня, и выслушай. Если бы я сказала «нет», ты бы вытащил из воды Брэда Пита. Если бы я вновь сказала «нет», ты бы извлек моего мужа. А потом, услышав мой честный ответ, подарил бы мне всех троих! Но я уже не в том возрасте, да и здоровье не позволяет жить с тремя мужьями! Только поэтому я ответила «да» на Клуни!
И Господь оставил ей Джорджа Клуни.
Мораль сей истории такова: если женщина лжет, то только по уважительной причине и только во имя хорошей цели и в интересах других...
