Те, кто еще помнит эти далекие времена, говорят, что Ракшасы были сотворены Брахмой для охраны воды и произошли из ног Брахмы, а сам Равана – демон-царь из Шри-Ланки – получил от бога Брахмы в подарок чудесный дар: он не мог быть убит, ни богом, ни демоном, ни зверем в течение десяти тысяч лет. Все Ракшасы могли принимать любые образы. Достоверно известны 24 образа, так как они дошли до наших дней в ввиде таких милейших масок с выпученными глазами и высунутым словно от жары языком.
Вообще-то, ланкийская маска — изделие многофункциональныое. Она не только помогает справляться с ангиной, желудочными расстройствами и депрессиями. В свободное от лечения время она используется для народных танцев, религиозных праздников, всевозможных обрядов и для свершения желаний. И, в целом, как мне кажется, это очень крутая и красивая штука.

В свободное от лечения время она используется для народных танцев, религиозных праздников, всевозможных обрядов и для свершения желаний.
