ЭПИЧНАЯ ЗАРИСОВКА О НАШИХ ПРЕДКАХ
На Пасху, поздним вечером перед Светлым Христовым Воскресением, свои гробницы в монастырях и соборах Москвы покидают нетленные создатели Московского государства.
Выходит из Свято-Даниловой обители родоначальник московской ветви Рюриковичей святой благоверный князь Даниил Александрович. Через Замоскворечье тихо идет он в Кремль и в Архангельском соборе приветственным поклоном будит потомков — от нищелюбивого Иоанна Калиты с его сыном Иоанном Кротким и героическим внуком Димитрием Донским до державных Иоаннов, благочестивого Феодора и невинно убиенного восьмилетнего Димитрия. Весь княжеско-царский род вступает в Успенский собор, где усердно молится Всемилостивому Спасу и Пресвятой Богородице.
Тогда поднимаются из рак и благословляют государей московские митрополиты и патриархи. Первый из них Петр — это он, пророчествуя возвышение маленькой деревянной Москвы, убедил Калиту построить каменный Успенский собор и перенес сюда кафедру из Владимира. Феогност, Киприан и Фотий — они все силы отдали укреплению единства Русской церкви — Москвы и Киева. Иона — при нем Русская церковь, отвергнув унию с католиками, стала независимой от Константинополя. Филипп — он, не побоявшийся пойти наперекор неправде царя Иоанна Грозного, был замучен опричниками. Гермоген — его, вдохновившего в Смуту оба народных ополчения, уморили голодом в польском плену…
По благословению митрополита Петра начинают звонить колокола, и с разных сторон встают все прежде почившие москвичи. В Вознесенском монастыре просыпаются великие княгини и царицы, в Чудовом — митрополит Алексий, крестный отец и воспитатель Димитрия Донского. С иконой Владимирской Божией Матери народный ход через Спасские ворота течет на Красную площадь. Из Покровского собора показываются блаженные Василий и Иоанн, из храма на Варварке спешит Максим Юродивый. Все встают у Лобного места и чего-то ждут. Вдруг является всадник на белом коне — это святой благоверный князь Александр Невский прискакал из Петербургской лавры в удел своего младшего сына Даниила. Трижды воздали ему поклон и ждут опять.
И вот, с легким дуновением северного ветра, все замечают приближающегося крепкого и величавого старца в убогой одежде. «Сергий…» — разносится по толпе. Святители низко кланяются: «Радуйся, богоносный отче Сергие!» Князья и народ опускаются на колени. Димитрий Донской и за ним другие просят преподобного** Сергия оставаться заступником и покровителем Руси. Поклонившись великому собору, старец падает ниц перед Владимирской иконой. После молитвы, сопровождаемый ликующим народом, он обходит все семь московских холмов, кропя город святой водой…

EPIC SKETCH ABOUT OUR ANCESTORS
On Easter, late in the evening before the Bright Resurrection of Christ, the incorrupt creators of the Moscow state leave their tombs in the monasteries and cathedrals of Moscow.
The founder of the Moscow branch of the Rurikovichs, the holy noble Prince Daniel Alexandrovich, leaves the Holy Danilov Monastery. Through Zamoskvorechye he quietly walks to the Kremlin and in the Archangel Cathedral wakes up the descendants with a salutary bow - from the beggar John Kalita with his son John the Meek and heroic grandson Dimitri Donskoy to the sovereign John, the pious Theodore and the innocently murdered eight-year-old Dimitri. The entire princely-royal family enters the Assumption Cathedral, where they earnestly pray to the All-Merciful Savior and the Most Holy Theotokos.
Then the Moscow metropolitans and patriarchs rise from the cancer and bless the sovereigns. The first of them is Peter - it is he, prophesying the rise of a small wooden Moscow, convinced Kalita to build a stone Assumption Cathedral and transferred the pulpit here from Vladimir. Theognost, Cyprian and Photius - they devoted all their efforts to strengthening the unity of the Russian Church - Moscow and Kiev. Jonah - under him the Russian Church, rejecting union with Catholics, became independent from Constantinople. Philip - he, who was not afraid to go against the lies of Tsar Ivan the Terrible, was tortured by the guardsmen. Hermogenes - he, who inspired both popular militias in the Troubles, was starved to death in Polish captivity ...
With the blessing of Metropolitan Peter, the bells begin to ring, and all the formerly deceased Muscovites stand up from different sides. In the Ascension Monastery, the Grand Duchesses and Queens wake up, in Chudovoy - Metropolitan Alexy, godfather and educator of Dimitry Donskoy. The saints bow low: "Rejoice, God-bearing Father Sergius!" The princes and people kneel down. Dimitri Donskoy and others behind him ask Saint Sergius to remain the intercessor and patron of Russia. Having bowed to the great cathedral, the elder falls on his face before the Vladimir icon. After prayer, accompanied by the jubilant people, he goes around all seven Moscow hills, sprinkling the city with holy water ...
