А еще было обнаружено размывание граней между тем, что действительно выполняет или должно выполнять настоящую функцию культуры в обществе, и тем, что эти функции не выполняет, но претендует на их выполнение.
То, что, не выполняя настоящих функций культуры, претендует на то, чтобы выполнение этих функций осуществить, именуется массовой культурой. Массовая культура — важнейшее слагаемое общества потребления. О ней заговорили с особой тревогой, конечно же, в эпоху телевидения..."
