Любовь раскрывает людям не то, что все люди должны связаться психически и духовно в живую непрерывную сплошность, но что они уже связаны так, рады они этому или не рады, хотят этого или не хотят; раскрыв это, она указывает им и высшую цель их жизни — в одухотворении и установлении творческой сопринадлежности душ. Душа, живущая обычно в ощущении этого реального живого всеединства душ, привыкает к нему настолько, что каждое проявление розни и вражды, каждый недостаток со-чувствия и едино-чувствия, со-мыслия и едино-мыслия, каждое отсутствие едино-страдания и едино-радования вызывает в ней скорбь и горе. В то же время она твердо знает, что каждый добрый порыв, каждое нравственное усилие, каждое благое деяние есть действительное, истинное завоевание всего человечества; ибо даже те, кто не узнают ничего о самом порыве, усилии и деянии, не узнают, в чем он был, и не узнают даже вообще, что он был, получат незаметно и понесут в себе и передадут другим его плоды и отражения; а если этот порыв и это деяние найдут в себе любовную встречу и любовное отражение, то сила их удесятерится, передаваясь от души к душе. Но такая душа знает также, что каждый разрыв в социально-духовной ткани, каждый акт отторжения, обиды и насилия умножается в душах людей по тому же самому закону и так же точно передается от души к душе, особенно если сила любви не успевает вовремя погасить его разрушительный огонь и исцелить состоявшиеся разрывы. В этом ведении и в этом делании живет такая душа потому, что она постоянно и подлинно испытывает, что род человеческий душевно и духовно един; душевно един — ибо живет в сплошном реальном взаимодействии; духовно един — ибо творчески восходит к единой истине, единому добру и единой красоте.
