А что вы знаете про образование в Эстонии?
Я вот не знала ровным счётом ничего до прошлой недели.
В рамках тренинга для учителей English Access Microscholarship Program, Russia посетили сразу две эстонских школы.
Для меня было новостью, что Эстония вышла на первое место в результатах тестирования PISA, обогнав вечного лидера Финляндию.
❗Директор школы назвала главную причину их успешности, по её мнению. Они не ставят своей задачей "пройти весь учебник". Они ставят цели и достигают их. Помню шок и недоверие некоторых коллег, когда я говорила, что в "Новой школе" мы не проходим учебник за год и считаем это нормой.
????Эта школа находится на территории старинной усадьбы, которую всячески поддерживают. Педагоги уверены, что созерцание красоты развивает растущее поколение. И тут я тоже соглашусь. Да что я. Исследования есть на эту тему. Стресс, говорят, снимают гармоничные виды и природа, даже нарисованная.
☑️Столярная мастерская доступна и мальчикам и девочкам. Ещё одна вещь, которая стала нормой для меня в "Новая школа". Да, девочки тоже могут научиться делать табуретки!
????Мобильниками нельзя в школе пользоваться. Гы. Видели мы старшеклассников ;) но в столовой точно нельзя. Где-то я это уже видела... Ах да! В "Новой школе", хотя пост совсем не про неё.
Столовая, кстати, расположена в "палатах". Своды низкие, столы отдельные. И все эстонские дети принудительно пьют молоко - государство его поставляет в школы по какой-то правительственной программе.
????Вокруг много эстонского языка - в стране очень много русских. Поэтому в некоторых школах есть отдельные группы русскоговорящих и эстоноговорящих. Но всяческими знаками на эстонском они стараются помочь выучить язык, погрузить в среду и пр.
❗❗А ещё в этой школе есть ГОСТИНИЦА!! Усадьба же бывшая - государство не растерялось ;) зарабатывает, как может.

What do you know about education in Estonia?
I didn't know absolutely anything until last week.
As part of the English Access Microscholarship Program, Russia teacher training, two Estonian schools were visited at once.
It was news to me that Estonia came out on top in the PISA test results, overtaking the eternal leader Finland.
❗ The director of the school named the main reason for their success, in her opinion. They do not set themselves the task of "going through the entire textbook". They set goals and achieve them. I remember the shock and distrust of some colleagues when I said that at the New School we do not go through a textbook in a year and consider it the norm.
???? This school is located on the territory of an old estate, which is supported in every possible way. Teachers are sure that the contemplation of beauty develops the growing generation. And here I also agree. What am I. There is research on this topic. Stress, they say, relieves harmonious views and nature, even painted.
☑️The carpentry workshop is available for both boys and girls. Another thing that has become the norm for me at New School. Yes, girls can learn to make stools too!
???? Mobile phones cannot be used at school. Gee. We saw high school students;) but definitely not in the dining room. I've seen it somewhere ... Oh, yes! In the "New School", although the post is not about her at all.
The dining room, by the way, is located in the "chambers". The vaults are low, the tables are separate. And all Estonian children are forced to drink milk - the state supplies it to schools under some government program.
???? There is a lot of Estonian around - there are a lot of Russians in the country. Therefore, some schools have separate groups of Russian and Estonian speakers. But with all sorts of signs in Estonian, they try to help learn the language, immerse them in the environment, etc.
