Два месяца назад я рассказал вам о том что я поступил в UofT на магистратуру по статистике. Пришло время рассказать вам продолжение событий той недели. Вечером того же дня когда я получил приглашение в магистратуру, я получил звонок о том что дом который мы проиграли в аукционе снова вышел на рынок. Агент продавца уезжала в отпуск на следующее утро, и ей нужно было срочно закрыть сделку. Звонок поступил в 5 вечера, а в 10 мы уже подписали бумаги о покупке этого великолепно столетнего кирпичного дома. Он находится в одном из старейших районов города Guelph, Ontario, прямо напротив University of Guelph. Почти все наши соседи — профессора в этом университете. В этом году Guelph назвали лучшим годом в Канаде для инвестиций в недвижимость. Вчера сделка закрылась, последние бумаги были подписаны, и мы получили ключи. За домом хорошо ухаживали все эти десятилетия, но жили скромно, и поэтому внутренняя отделка первого этажа напоминает нечто из 70х. Так как все деньги ушли на покупку, нанимать кого то не хочется. Two months ago, I told you that I enrolled in UofT for a master's degree in statistics. It's time to tell you the continuation of the events of that week. In the evening of the same day when I received an invitation to the magistracy, I received a call saying that the house that we lost in the auction had once again entered the market. The seller’s agent went on vacation the next morning and she needed to close the deal immediately. The call came in at 5 pm, and at 10 we had already signed the paper on the purchase of this magnificent centenary brick house. It is located in one of the oldest districts of the city of Guelph, Ontario, directly opposite the University of Guelph. Almost all of our neighbors are professors at this university. This year, Guelph was named the best year in Canada for real estate investments. Yesterday the transaction was closed, the last papers were signed, and we received the keys. The house was well looked after all these decades, but lived modestly, and therefore the interior decoration of the first floor resembles something from the 70s. Since all the money went to buy, you do not want to hire someone.
