Недалеко от стыка двух литосферных плит (евразийской и североамериканской). Говорят, Европа отделяется от Америки каждый год на 7 мм. Нарастающую пропасть можно отлично разглядеть, если погрузиться с аквалангом под воду. В общем-то если бы не трение плит - не было бы столько крутецких фотокарточек из Исландии.

Not far from the junction of two lithospheric plates (Eurasian and North American). They say that Europe is separated from America every year by 7 mm. The growing abyss can be perfectly seen if you scuba dive under the water. In general, if it were not for the friction of the plates, there would not have been so many krutetsk photo cards from Iceland.
