Смерть 81-летней Раузы Галимовой медики зафиксировали в Кронштадтском ОМВД на проспекте Ленина. Туда ее доставил наряд патрульно-постовой службы из магазина «Магнит» на Широкой улице. Старушка днем 3 февраля привычно пришла за продуктами, на выходе ее остановили, досмотрели и обвинили в краже сливочного масла. Вызвали полицию и продержали до приезда наряда. Патрульные отрабатывали заявку в дежурную часть. Приехали, выслушали претензию, препроводили гражданку для разбирательства. Моральных оценок инструкция не предусматривает.
К вечеру 3 февраля, узнав о смерти посетительницы, сотрудники магазина выдвинули "Фонтанке" защитную версию. Якобы Рауза Ахмедовна не первый раз попадается на краже, ей прощали, а вчера, мол, захотели разобраться по закону за вынос трех пачек масла.
Разобраться не получилось. Галимова умерла в холле отдела, не успев рассказать свою историю.
Уроженка 1933 года пережила войну в Ленинграде. Видела голод, нищету, смерть. Награждена знаком «Жителю блокадного Ленинграда». В конце 60-х переехала в Кронштадт.
Глава района Василий Пониделко сообщил «Фонтанке», что блокадница жила в благоустроенной квартире, сама по себе была вполне благополучной. Получала пенсию 25 тысяч рублей, участвовала в жизни города, в центр социальной помощи населения не обращалась и, кажется, нужды совсем не имела.
Племянник умершей Валерий Соколов подтвердил, что пожилой женщине в быту всего хватало, а при общении с полицией о клептомании не упоминалось вообще.
«Участковый, с которым я пообщался, сказал мне, что тетя просто забыла оплатить сливочное масло, и не три пачки, а одну. За это ее и сдали в полицию».
В кошельке старушки лежали больше полутора тысяч рублей. На ее просьбу вернуться к кассе и доплатить, говорят, последовал отказ. Досмотр охраной, обвинение в мелком воровстве, ожидание полиции, очевидно, вызвали ощущение ужаса – человеку родом из 30-х не надо много, чтобы живо представить застенки, лишения и смерть в одиночестве. Смеем предположить, что фраза «Успокойтесь, бабушка, в тюрьму вас никто сажать не будет» в «Магните» не произносилась.

«Мы виделись регулярно. Рауза всегда была чистенькой, опрятной, аккуратной. К маргинальным, опустившимся слоям ее даже с натяжкой отнести невозможно. В последнее время она немного заговаривалась, отвечала не на те вопросы, которые ей задавали. На самочувствие жаловалась, но не чаще других. И я впервые слышу, чтобы блокадница не оплатила товар. А если и так, то почему бы директору магазина не проявить деликатность, не обратиться сначала к нам?»
