Вчера случилась поездка в Суоми, и в это время года эта страна удивительно хороша, снег - везде: на березках, ёлочках, соснах, искрится, переливается всеми цветами радуги и морозец легкий, едва ощутимый - красота! Да и до Нового года всего-ничего - 9 дней осталось, предновогоднее настроение набирает обороты.
А сегодня отмечают: День энергетика, Празднование в честь зачатия праведной Анною Пресвятой Богородицы и Празднование в честь иконы Божией Матери «Нечаянная Радость» у православных христиан, День образования Пенсионного фонда России, День рождения российского хоккея и День наступления ночи у чудиков (кстати, прошедшая ночь была самой длинной в году).
История распорядилась нынешним днём следующим образом: в 1790 русские войска под командованием Александра Суворова взяли штурмом турецкую крепость Измаил, в 1857 выпущена первая почтовая марка в России, в 1869 прошла первая успешная перепись населения Петербурга, по её данным, число домов в столице составило 9109, а жителей — 667 026 душ, в 1919 из США на пароходе «Buford» в Советскую Россию высланы 249 человек, заподозренных в симпатиях большевикам, в 1920 На VIII съезде Советов был принят Государственный план электрификации России (ГОЭЛРО), в 1938 близ южной части Африки была выловлена латимерия — самая древняя рыба на Земле, в 1942 учреждены медали «За оборону Ленинграда», «За оборону Сталинграда» и «За оборону Севастополя», в 1987 Никки Сикс пережил клиническую смерть, что вдохновило его на написание песни «Kickstart My Heart», в 1989 Берлинские Бранденбургские ворота спустя 28 лет вновь открываются, ознаменовав объединение ГДР и ФРГ, а в 2000 году образовалась группа Animal ДжаZ.
