Птицы за окном щебечут совсем по-весеннему, воздух уже во всю подснежниками пахнет, они у нас в начале февраля еще распустились, снега днём с огнём не сыскать, да и льда на заливе как не было, так и нет. Грядёт весна! Чуть-чуть подождать осталось. Масленица в разгар пошла!
Сегодня день называется Лакомка, тещи зовут на блины своих зятьев, и в каждой семье накрывают столы с угощениями. А еще отмечают: Всемирный день неторопливости, День художника, День рассказывания сказок, День стекломойщиков и День поиска норы спящего лета у чудиков.
В народном календаре: Мартинианов день, в честь преподобного Мартиниана, христианского святого, жившего в 4-5 веках в Палестине. У нас ему молятся об укреплении семьи и избавлении от соблазнов. Про погоду говорили, что если на Мартиниана снег тает, то весна придет дружная, а если день пасмурный, весна будет холодной и долгой.
История для этого дня выделила следующие события: в 1712 указом Петра I основан Тульский оружейный завод, в 1878 с легкой руки филолога Литтре пущен в оборот термин «микроб», в 1886 в Горловке производится первая в России ртуть, в 1917 в студии фирмы «Victor» записана первая джазовая грампластинка, в 1921 начальник политотдела Балтийского флота Николай Кузьмин отметил бунтарские настроения в матросской среде и предупредил, что если не положить конец забастовкам («волынке») в Петрограде, то на флоте может произойти взрыв, а в Кронштадте, после экстренного собрания команд линкоров «Севастополь» и «Петропавловск», принято решение направить в Петроград делегацию для выяснения причин забастовок, в 1925 РСФСР образован Коми-Пермяцкий округ, в 1935 Роберт Уотсон-Уотт провёл первые испытания устройства «радар», в 1944 наши войска освободили город и крупную железнодорожную станцию Порхов, в 1954 в США появляется первая фотонаборная типографская машина, в 1990 с территории Чехословакии начался вывод советских войск, а в 2001 в Афганистане, по приказу основателя движения «Талибан» Муллы Мохаммада Омара уничтожены две колоссальные каменные статуи Будды - Бамианские Будды, входившие в комплекс буддийских монастырей в Бамианской долине, одна из статуй являлась крупнейшим в мире изваянием Будды высотой 53 метра, и была высечена в скале, её возраст составлял около 1500 лет.
