However, for some reason, the opinion of many representatives of religions is the opposite: faith often appears as almost the only bearer of morality and ethics.

Yes, the words “real” religions proclaim what they are credited with in the field of morality. In practice, the rules apply only to representatives of the same religion. Marriage is only possible with a person of the same faith. Unbaptized cannot go to heaven. You can’t kill people, but "infidels" can and should. "Wrong" is not a person. The principle of love for one's neighbor does not apply to him. Religion cleverly divides people into “friends” and “strangers”, into “friends” and “enemies”, and this is already a huge step towards war.

Religion is convenient for strengthening totalitarian power, monotheistic is doubly convenient: One God - One King, both are beyond criticism. It is easy to turn any act that threatens the system into god-pleasing, deftly tuning public opinion. For the Inquisition court, what is important is not what religion says, but what the church says. # The State Duma adopts a chain of laws - about rallies, about foreign agents, about censorship on the Internet, about protecting the feelings of believers, about banning the propaganda of "non-traditional" sexual relations - even each individually is very vague, and together they give enormous ground for tightening the screws.

These laws managed to deftly deflect Russian and world society from the less public problems of this country - from the deepest destruction of housing and communal services, medicine, education, social protection, from the subsidence of capital in the pockets of representatives of the ruling elite. But their goal is much deeper - to divide the society, but not just into those who are against and those who are in favor, but into “right” and “wrong”. On "like everyone else" and "excellent." On the "normal" and "dissidents." Not so is not a man. Rights and freedoms do not apply to him.

“Wrong” is not an example. After all, no one forbids same-sex relationships, only # propaganda is forbidden, let them do what they want, only they don’t tell anyone. You can be an unbeliever, you can not love the church - but only in silence, for the sake of the view, it is necessary to conduct all the rites as expected. While it is possible.
