Меня уже давно не удивляет ни рейтинг Путина, ни то, что системообразующая часть населения поддерживает продуктовые санкции. Анекдот про объявление повешения каждого десятого, вызвавшее лишь вопрос о необходимости самостоятельно обеспечиться веревкой, существует много десятилетий.
Удивляет Европа. Разочаровывает. Это началось не сейчас, но наступает последняя капля. Ну ладно, пусть надежда на добрых дядей из галактического центра (зачеркнуто) цивилизованного мира оказалась мифической. Ну даже если признать, что они никому ничего не должны, что они не обязаны защищать кого-то просто за идею, просто потому, что агрессия - зло, что никто не будет умирать за кого-то. Но они же должны понимать, что следом за Грузией и Украиной последуют сами - Прибалтика, Польша, Чехия, Финляндия. Что агрессора надо задушить в зародыше, не дать ему разойтись.
Сегодня в ЕС пройдет первое обсуждение ответных мер после признания рядом стран фактов присутствия российской военной техники и кадровых военных на востоке Украины. Первое после того, как Россию можно официально признавать агрессором? Поэтому меры будут реальными? Нет, это чушь. Россию можно спокойно официально признавать агрессором с марта, с самой оккупации Крыма. Поэтому осталась лишь мифическая надежда, что Европа реально готова что-то сделать.
Ну хорошо, пусть Европа не может просто так отказаться от российского газа и нефти уже в эту зиму. Но можно же организовать санкции типа "топливо в обмен на продовольствие". Ага, то самое, которое Путин запретил ввозить. И только на продовольствие и только по двойной цене, чтобы исключить возможность наживаться на экспорте углеводородов вообще. (У России не останется выбора, не захочет - может вставить свою трубу в любое отверстие, пока не лопнет.) Можно начать реальную работу над добычей сланцевого газа, развитием атомных и иных видов электроэнергии, на межгосударственном уровне создать условия для этого - чтобы показать, что уже в осязаемой перспективе будет полный отказаться от импорта российского сырья. Можно же запретить въезд не отдельным чиновникам и олигархам, а всей правящей верхушке включая самого Путина и членам их семей, поставить вопрос о лишении гражданства тех, кто уже успел его поиметь. Можно хотя бы подумать о введении армии и техники вдоль границы с правом немедленного ответного удара по территории РФ, как только оттуда прилетит первый снаряд или придет первый танк. Можно. И они все еще могут сделать выбор в пользу демонстрации своей состоятельности, а не отсиживанию в сытом уютном мирке. Но что-то мне подсказывает, что исход выбора очевиден, увы.
P.S. Должно ли мировое сообщество ограничиваться мерами только против отдельных людей и компаний, стараться не затронуть граждан РФ в целом? В том, что сейчас происходит, виноваты не только Путин с его кланом и горсткой военных. Виноваты все те кто стоит за ним и за него - а это 80 с лишним процентов населения. Мы имеем дело не с населением, не могущим справиться с диктатором и агрессором, мы имеем дело с населением, не желающим этого делать. Каждый народ достоин своих правителей, ему за них и отвечать.
P.P.S. Последние годы в моду активно внедрились такие "добродетели" как "самодостаточность", "независимость в принятии решений", "игнорирование чужого мнения". Это стало преподноситься как норма жизни и в быту и в государственной политике. Но тогда не надо удивляться, что ответом на самодостаточность будет изоляция, а независимое решение помахать кулаками уже в опасной близости от носа соседа с игнорированием чужих слов должно приводить к применению в ответ не только кулаков, но и дубинок.

Today in the EU will be the first discussion of response measures after the recognition by several countries of the facts of the presence of Russian military equipment and military personnel in eastern Ukraine. The first after Russia can be officially recognized as an aggressor? So the measures will be real? No, this is nonsense. Russia can be quietly officially recognized as an aggressor since March, from the very occupation of Crimea. Therefore, there was only a mythical hope that Europe was really ready to do something.
Well, let Europe not just be able to abandon Russian gas and oil this winter. But it is possible to organize sanctions such as "fuel in exchange for food."
