Собственно ничего неожиданного в выборе британцев, пожалуй, не вижу. В конце концов они и так были лишь где-то на треть в ЕС. В конце концов им ЕС нужен гораздо меньше, чем они ЕС. И да, пусть это решение скорее эмоционально-политическое, это определенно не тот вопрос, при решении которого экономические выгоды и финансовые показатели нужно ставить исключительно на первое место. Грустно лишь, что Европа так тормозит на пути интеграции (хотя, конечно, страх перед превращением ЕС в государство понятен, слишком уж насмотрелась Европа и империи и их последствия - вот только англичан вчера, вполне вероятно, двигали как раз противоположные чувства).
И если бы этот референдум проходил 3-5 лет назад, происходящее нисколько бы не настораживало (и не только из уважения к Буковскому). Однако сейчас, когда Европа столкнулась с первым со времен Второй Мировой расширением границ государства при помощи военной силы, когда мир все чаще вспоминает ошибку Чемберлена, когда расстановка различных внутренних сил и в Европе и внешних угроз мире вообще несколько непонятна, такое событие не кажется нейтральным - осталось только Трампа президентом США избрать и вообще красота.
А еще есть некоторый повод задуматься о демократии вообще. Во-первых, можно ли при таком незначительном перевесе сторонников изменения отдавать предпочтение действию, а не сохранению? Во-вторых, из приведенных графиков http://m.liga.net/infografica/287467_razedinennoe-korolevstvo-karta-golosovaniya-britanii-na-referendume.htm можно сделать интересное наблюдение: больший процент проголосовавших за выход обнаруживается среди людей с меньшим образованием, большего возраста и жителей малых городов и деревень - несколько напоминает "повышенную" поддержку власти в РФ среди пенсионеров и провинциалов, не правда ли?
P.S. Под шум от Brexit бешеным принтером выданы 3 "замечательных" закона: об обязательном полугодовом хранении трафика пользователей, о разрешении строить на территории заповедников и о... запрете выращивать ГМО-продукцию(!). Таки дела.

Actually, I don’t see anything unexpected in the choice of the British. In the end, they were already only about a third in the EU. In the end, they need the EU much less than they need the EU.
