Раньше, когда торговали на рынке, то от всей души исполняли изреченное: «Пусть будет твое «да» справедливым и твое «нет» праведным», и вся их торговля шла верно. Когда приходили в синагогу, то били себя в грудь, восклицая: «Мы грешили, изменяли, грабили!», и это было ложью. Теперь же все наоборот: в торговле лгут и обманывают, а в молитве произносят истину».
