По нашему обычаю с 1-го по 13-е Нисана после утренней молитвы читают отрывки из Торы, повествующие о приношениях глав колен, книга Бамидбар, глава Насо 7:1
И было в день, когда завершил Моше возводить скинию и помазал ее, и освятил ее и все ее принадлежности, и жертвенник и все его принадлежности, и помазал он их, и освятил их. И доставили предводители Исраэля, главы дома отцов их, они же предводители колен, они же стоявшие при исчислениях. И представили они свое пожертвование пред Г-спода: шесть крытых повозок и двенадцать быков; повозка от двух предводителей и бык от одного. И доставили их пред скинию. И сказал Г-сподь Моше так: «Возьми у них, и будут они для несения службы при шатре собрания, и передай их левитам, каждому по его служению». И взял Моше повозки и быков, и передал их левитам. Две повозки и четырех быков дал он сынам Гершона по их служению. И четыре повозки и восемь быков дал сынам Мерари, по их служению под началом Итамара, сына Аарона-священнослужителя. А сынам Кеатa не дал (ничего), ибо служение при святыне на них, на плечах нести будут. И доставили предводители (для) освящения жертвенника в день помазания его, и доставили предводители свое пожертвование пред жертвенник. И сказал Г-сподь Моше: «По одному предводителю в день пусть доставят жертву свою для освящения жертвенника».
И был доставившим в первый день свою жертву Нахшон, сын Аминадава, из колена Йеуды. И его пожертвование: одно блюдо серебряное в сто тридцать (шекелей) весом, одна кропильница серебряная в семьдесят шекелей (весом) по шекелю Святилища; оба (сосуда) наполнены тонкой мукой, смешанной с елеем, для приношения хлебного; оба (сосуда) наполнены тонкой мукой. Для доброхотного хлебного приношения. Одна ложка из десяти (шекелей) золота, наполненная курением; Один молодой бык, один овен, один агнец по первому году во всесожжение. Один козел в очистительную жертву. А в жертву мирную: два быка, пять овнов, пять козлов, пять агнцев по первому году. Это жертва Нахшона, сына Аминадава.
После этого произносят:
Да будет угодно Тебе, Г-сподь, Б-г мой и Б-г отцов моих, чтобы осветить сегодня, по милости Твоей великой, святые души, обновляющиеся как птицы, и воркующие, восхваляющие и молящие о святом народе Израиля. Владыка мира, введи и вознеси этих святых птиц в святое место, как сказано, «глаз не видел Б-га кроме Тебя»... Да будет угодно Тебе, Г-сподь, Б-г мой и Б-г отцов моих, что если я, раб Твой, из колена Йеуды прочитавший в Торе Твоей, главу сегодняшнего предводителя (колена) тогда пусть осветят меня все святые искры, и весь святой свет, заключенный в этом колене, понимать и постигать Тору Твою, и в страхе пред Тобой выполнять волю Твою, все дни жизни моей, я, и потомки мои, и потомки потомков моих во веки веком, Омейн.
