Any visit to the ancient Khmer temples without exploring and understanding their deeper spiritual and devotional aspects is only a half-way journey". ("До настоящего времени большинство исследований касалось оценки искусства и архитектуры прекрасных храмов древней Камбоджи. Немногие исследовали их душу и цели. И их духовность. Любое проникновение в древние кхмерские храмы без исследования и понимания их глубоких эзотерического и божественного аспектов - только половина пути".)
Автор этих строк - Виджай Сингх, индиец, отдавший более двадцати пяти лет жизни исследованию надписей древней Камбоджи, а ведь именно под глубоким влиянием Индии и сформировалась та исчезнувшая ныне цивилизация.
Признаться, в своих экскурсиях я тоже чаще уделял основное внимание искусству и архитектуре, а если и касался каких-то эзотерических аспектов, то вскользь и больше в виде легенд и мифов. Может, не был готов. Может, считал, что людям это будет не столь интересно. К тому же, нельзя ведь объять необъятное за ограниченное время экскурсии
Но теперь пришло время расширить представления об Ангкоре, а это значит, что будут новые программы, и древние храмы заблестят новыми, ещё более яркими красками.
Суметь увидеть, суметь понять, суметь почувстовать!
