1. Церковь не имеет никакого догмата, гласящего, что через лжицу невозможно заразиться какой-то болезнью. Нет в Церкви такого учения. И если есть такое частное мнение (пусть даже массовое, поддерживаемое даже канонизированными людьми) вошедшее в быт благодаря тому, что так считают и проповедуют многие отцы, то это не означает, что это мнение — истина и является учением Церкви.
2. В Церкви нет учения о том, что таинство меняет природу его веществ. Вода в крещальной купели физически остается водою, ароматические масла в составе Мира остаются маслами, хлеб и вино в Чаше остаются Хлебом и Вином со всеми вытекающими из этого физическими последствиями. Все эти вещества имеют свойство портиться и становиться рассадниками грибков, бактерий и вирусов. Да, они освящаются, становятся частью мира духовного, несут благодать Божью верующим, однако, сами при этом остаются явлениями нашего земного мира, подверженного тлению. Собственно, так же Церковь учит о своих святых — они святы, но это не мешает им быть подверженными греху, болезням и смерти.
3. В «Известии учительном», которое помещается в Служебнике в качестве практических советов пастырям, имеются указания на то, что Святые Дары вполне могут быть испорчены грибком, и становятся непригодными к причащению. Заплесневевшие Дары священник должен потребить самостоятельно после Литургии, но ими запрещено причащать мирян. «Известию» так же вполне достоверно известно, что в Чашу могут попасть ядовитые вещества (например, с ядовитыми насекомыми), и при этом указано, что в таком случае содежимое Чаши утилизируется — выливается в непопираемое место, но никак не преподается верующим для причастия. Почему у Церкви нет четких правил насчет вирусов и бактерий? Правильно — когда писались последние правила о порядке причастия в Церкви, никто даже не подозревал о том, что могут быть такие невидимые паразиты, способные убить человека посредством лжицы. В тот период были известны только яды и грибковая плесень.

Yes, they are sanctified, become part of the spiritual world, bring the grace of God to believers, however, at the same time, they themselves remain the manifestations of our earthly world, subject to corruption. Actually, the Church also teaches about its saints - they are holy, but this does not prevent them from being subject to sin, disease and death.

The priest must consume moldy Gifts on his own after the Liturgy, but they are forbidden to partake of the laity. Izvestia is also quite reliably aware that poisonous substances (for example, with poisonous insects) can get into the Chalice, and it is indicated that in this case the Chalice’s contents are disposed of - it is poured into an unshielded place, but not taught to believers for communion. That's right - when the last rules were written on the order of communion in the Church, no one even suspected that there could be such invisible parasites that could kill a person by means of a lie.
