Что такое "за упокой души"
Есть в нашем обиходе много фразочек, которые мы все употребляем и интуитивно воспринимаем как осмысленные, но смысла их не осознаём.
Почему-то актуальным оказалось вот это выражение "за упокой души", за который обыкновенно пьют.
Попробуем в паре фраз выяснить смысл фразы и убедиться в том, что он есть.
Из всех определений дущи, которые я слышал до сих пор, наиболее внятным было такое: "Душа человека - суть система отношений с другими людьми и между ними", иными словами, душа человека - структура, живущая в его социальной сети. Тут можно отослать к Кристакису и Фаулеру, которые в книге "Связанные одной сетью" показали человека как информационный узел социальной сети, пропускающий через себя потоки материальных благ, информации, ценностей, идей, убеждений, привычек, эмоций, болезней и пр.
Естественно, при исчезновении этого узла в социальной сети в окресности этого узла происходит возмущение: некоторые узлы остаются без привычной связи, другие избавляются от разделявшего их фактора, третьи получают новые права и возможности.
Для продолжения нормального функционирования социальной сети необходимо выстроить новые связи, адаптировать новые возможности. Ещё одно важное действие - суммировать опыт, накопленный сетью благодаря жизнедеятельности исчезшего узла: подвести итог, сделать выводы, резюмировать ценность, которую этот узел за время своего существования привнёс в общество. Для этого проводят поминки, ставят памятники, устраивают фонды и чтения памяти такого-то...
Соответственно, когда новые связи в социальной сети, лишившейся одного своего узла, вновь выстроены, возмущение оказывается разрешено, и в "душе" вновь наступает некое равновесие, успокоение. Понятно, что полного успокоения не может быть, потому что все узлы социальной сети постоянно меняются, старые узлы исчезают и новые появляются.
Приём алкоголя может иметь разные социальные смыслы, но, пожалуй, наиболее конструктивный из них - это выстраивание связи. Бывает необходимо чуть притупить свою взаимную критику, чтобы увидеть друг в друге хорошее и нащупать возможность объединения. После этого можно и в трезвом состоянии продолжать доброжелательные отношения.
Итак, с помощью приёма алкоголя люди устанавливают или расширяют связь между собой, в том числе с целью преодоления разрыва, вызванного исчезновением узла, связывавшего их, полностью или отчасти.
Получается, что пить за упокой души - это совершенно понятный акт социального взаимодействия, в котором отсутствует какая бы то ни было религиозная подоплёка, мистицизм и некромантия. Это всего лишь приём алкоголя для упрощения взимопонимания между людьми, которые нуждаются в укреплении связи между собой, которую до сих пор укреплял ушедший, чьим социальным окружением, т.е. душой, оба являются.
