На посещение Токио мы отвели почти целую неделю. Для меня столько времени в одном городе непозволительная роскошь, обычно три четыре дня и основные достопримечательности и закоулки исхожены, а прочувствовать «дух города» я обычно стараюсь во второй или третий раз когда можно приехать не восторженным туристом, а вдумчивым ценителем прекрасного. Но в Токио за неделю мы не смогли посмотреть и половины интересного из запланированного. Разные районы, смесь старой и новой Японии, Японии 20-го века и века 21, сады и небоскребы, двух и трех уровневые променады и причудливые скульптуры. Не сказать, что в Токио есть какая-то доминанта, туристический центр. В каждом районе есть что-то посмотреть. Супер перекресток Сибуя, где люди переходят сразу в пяти направлениях, и который засветился в куче фильмов: от «Форсажа» до «Обители зла», высочайшие смотровые площадки в других районах. Есть мост аналог «Золотых ворот», который проектировала та же самая компания и своя статуя Свободы.
Но поскольку для меня особенная крутость Японии в мелочах – мне понравилось просто ходить и втыкать в мелочи: магазинчики, транспорт, такси в стиле 80-х, людей. По сравнению с Питером и Москвой уровень Токио примерно на 20 лет вперед в организации жизни людей. Доступная среда для всех типов людей, шаговая доступность любого сервиса, непревзойденный уровень уважения от одних людей к другим (от строителей на стройке к проходящим мимо, от полицейских к прохожим, от работников метро к пассажирам), полная информативность и доступность информации о работе и сервисе. Скажем так, для себя я определил, что так должна быть организована жизнь в любом городе мира, но с нашим менталитетом это невозможно.

We took almost a week to visit Tokyo. For me, so much time in one city is unacceptable luxury, usually three to four days and the main attractions and nooks and crannies, and I usually try to feel the "spirit of the city" for the second or third time when you can come not as an enthusiastic tourist, but as a thoughtful connoisseur of beauty. But in Tokyo for the week we were not able to see half of the interesting things planned. Different areas, a mixture of old and new Japan, 20th century and 21st century Japan, gardens and skyscrapers, two and three level boardwalks and fancy sculptures. Not to say that in Tokyo there is some kind of dominant, a tourist center. Each area has something to see. Super Shibuya crossroads, where people cross in five directions at once, and which was lit up in a heap of films: from Fast and Furious to Resident Evil, the highest viewing platforms in other areas. There is a bridge analogue to the Golden Gate, which was designed by the same company and its own statue of Liberty.
But since Japan is especially cool for me in the little things - I liked just walking and sticking in the little things: shops, vehicles, taxi in the style of the 80s, people. Compared to St. Petersburg and Moscow, Tokyo's level is about 20 years ahead in organizing people's lives. An accessible environment for all types of people, step-by-step availability of any service, an unrivaled level of respect from one people to another (from builders at a construction site to passers-by, from police to passers-by, from metro workers to passengers), full information and availability of information about work and service . Let's just say, for myself, I determined that life in any city in the world should be organized this way, but with our mentality this is impossible.
