Если Токио это мозг Японии, то её душа точно находится в Киото. В Токио при в всем его величии, размерах и столичности не так много старины. Она безусловно есть, как тот же императорский дворец и сады, но основными красками столицы я бы назвал белый, серый, чёрный. А вот в Киото это будет зелёный и все оттенки красного. Храм тысячи ворот Фусими Инари с его бесконечными лестницами на склонах холма. Старый императорский дворец в центре города с прямоугольным парком и паутиной дорожек, мостиков и классических японских инста-картинок. Сам город - призрак старой Японии, который пережил индустриализацию, урбанизацию и много всего другого за 20 век, но не утратил своего колорита.

If Tokyo is the brain of Japan, then its soul is definitely in Kyoto. In Tokyo, with all its greatness, size and capital, there is not much antiquity. It certainly is, like the same imperial palace and gardens, but I would call the main colors of the capital white, gray, black. But in Kyoto it will be green and all shades of red. The Temple of the Thousand Gate of Fushimi Inari with its endless stairs on the hillsides. The old imperial palace in the city center with a rectangular park and a web of paths, bridges and classic Japanese insta-pictures. The city itself is a ghost of old Japan, which survived industrialization, urbanization and much more in the 20th century, but did not lose its color.
