Идеологический контроль за всеми высшими учебными заведениями находится в компетенции отдела КГБ, вербуются студенты, используются в качестве преподавателей и сексотов.
Власть всеми силами способствует тому, чтобы люди были максимально разрозненны. Недавно, например, стало известно, что белорусская милиция рассылает преподавателям вузов, профтехучилищ и школ инструкцию доносить правоохранительным органам на учащихся. В частности, преподаватели должны рассказывать милиции о всех «эмо», «готах» и представителях других молодежных движений.
Собственно, для Белоруссии ситуация, когда учителя следят за учениками, а преподаватели – за студентами, дело привычное. Сам помню, как объяснялся с деканом факультета, почему на уроке информатики загрузил на университетском компьютере один из сайтов оппозиции. Сейчас такой проблемы бы не возникло: во всех госучреждениях доступ к «не тем» сайтам попросту закрыт. На них, мол, распространяется антигосударственная информация. Зато меня до сих пор мучает вопрос: кто меня тогда, в университете, сдал? Милый преподаватель, с которым я общался и после окончания вуза, или кто-то из доброжелателей-одногруппников?
Сегодня все в Минске знают, что КГБ вербует студентов для того, чтобы они стучали на товарищей. В каждой студенческой группе есть как минимум два стукача: парень и девушка. Оба, скорее всего, будут ничем не примечательными тихонями, при каждой возможности выражающими свои оппозиционные взгляды. Учиться они будут средненько: обычно стукачи не выделяются ни сильным интеллектом, ни желанием постоянно спорить и ругаться с преподавателями. Зато они с большим интересом посещают все студенческие вечеринки, когда собирается как минимум пять человек. Обычно это провинциалы из небольших городов: деревенским парням столичные ребят не доверяют, а минчан завербовать сложнее, да и блатных среди них много.
Кагэбэшные шпионы следят за настроениями граждан не только в университетах, но и на госпредприятиях, в банках, крупных частных компаниях. Схема вербовки там точно такая же: грозят увольнением, обещают финансовую поддержку и лояльное отношение руководства. В исключительных случаях КГБ применяет силу и прямые провокации. Но, как правило, до этого не доходит.
Вербовка любых политически активных людей в Беларуси уже поставлена на поток. Едва ты как-то проявишь свои оппозиционные взгляды — тебя немедленно попробуют завербовать. Или запугать. Они держатся в первую очередь на авторитете страха...
Нужно помнить, что агента вербовали под конкретную задачу, но каждого, прежде всего, обучали основам конспирации, как договариваться о встречах, как их проводить, как звонить по телефону куратору и какие условные фразы произносить, что говорить, если друзья, однокурсники или родственники что-то заподозрили.
Главное! Осведомители – это парии, отверженные, как правило, с грузом преступлений на душе, с проклятием на совести. Их ставят перед выбором закрытия (значительного смягчения) наказания в случае вербовки, или беспощадного отбытия «по полной». Их ловят на позорных статьях уголовного кодекса, угрожая дополнительным моральным и физическим прессингом. Их часто принуждают к сотрудничеству, шантажируя несчастьями родственников. Они морально раздавлены, сломлены, послушны воли своих кураторов. Из них делают механизмы, подчиненные главной цели – сбору информации, в которой заинтересован политический сыск, причем – любой ценой. Редко, кто становится осведомителем по своей воле. Потому ждать от них каких то высоких чувств - просто бесполезно, как нелепо и невозможно ждать дружбы от гадюки или кобры. Ими правят инстинкты, где главный – инстинкт самосохранения. Они будут предавать до бесконечности, выполняя поставленную перед ними задачу.
В Восточной Германии на каждые двести граждан приходился один штатный чекист и на каждые сто - внештатный стукач.
Офицеры спецслужб не испытывают никаких иных чувств к этой касте, кроме холодного презрения.

Actually, for Belarus, the situation when teachers monitor students, and teachers - students, is a usual thing. I remember myself, as I explained to the dean of the faculty, why I downloaded one of the opposition’s websites on a university computer at a computer science lesson. Now such a problem would not have arisen: in all state institutions, access to “the wrong” sites is simply denied. They are allegedly subject to anti-state information. But the question still torments me: who then, at the university, passed me? Dear teacher, with whom I spoke and after graduating from high school, or someone from one-group well-wishers?
Today everyone in Minsk knows that the KGB recruits students so that they knock on comrades. In each student group there are at least two informers: a boy and a girl. Both, most likely, will be unremarkable spies, at every opportunity expressing their opposition views. They will learn mediocrely: usually the informers are not distinguished by either strong intellect or the desire to constantly argue and swear with the teachers. But they attend all student parties with great interest when at least five people gather. Usually these are provincials from small towns: the capital guys do not trust the village boys, and it is more difficult to recruit Minsk residents, and there are many of them among the thugs.
KGB spies monitor citizens' moods not only in universities, but also in state-owned enterprises, banks, large private companies. The recruitment scheme there is exactly the same: they threaten with dismissal, promise financial support and loyal attitude of the leadership. In exceptional cases, the KGB uses force and direct provocations. But, as a rule, this does not reach.
The recruitment of any politically active people in Belarus has already been put on stream. As soon as you somehow manifest your opposition views, they will immediately try to recruit you. Or intimidate. They hold primarily on the authority of fear ...
It must be remembered that the agent was recruited for a specific task, but everyone was primarily trained in the basics of conspiracy, how to arrange meetings, how to hold them, how to call the curator and what conditional phrases to say, what to say, if friends, classmates or relatives suspected.
The main thing! Informers are pariahs, rejected, as a rule, with a load of crimes on the soul, with a curse on their conscience. They are faced with the choice of closing (significant mitigation) of punishment in the case of recruitment, or the merciless departure "to the fullest." They are caught in the shameful articles of the criminal code, threatening with additional moral and physical pressure. They are often forced to cooperate by blackmailing the misfortunes of their relatives. They are morally crushed, broken, obedient to the will of their supervisors. Mechanisms are made from them that are subordinate to the main goal - the collection of information in which political intelligence is concerned, and at any price. It is rare that someone becomes an informant of his own free will. Therefore, it is simply useless to expect any high feelings from them, as it is ridiculous and impossible to wait for friendship from a viper or a cobra. They are governed by instincts, where the main one is the instinct of self-preservation. They will betray to infinity, fulfilling their task.
In East Germany, for every two hundred citizens there was one full-time security officer and for every hundred - a freelance snitch.
The security officers have no other feelings for this caste, except for cold contempt.
