«Мое знакомство с СТИ долго откладывалось, исключительно из-за моих предрассудков. Молодой театр, которому чуть больше десяти лет, да к тому же, как замечают многие, в названии не фигурирует слово «театр», а лишь «студия» – право же, это несерьезно! Поэтому в течение нескольких лет я старательно пропускала приглашения в СТИ на стене Кати, далее (еще более старательно!) игнорировала ее советы. Учитывая изобилие молодых театров и количество новых спектаклей, я была уверена, что этот театр не скажет мне ничего нового. .. Я очень сильно ошибалась.
Знакомство началось случайно: в какой-то момент я все же сдалась и решила, что надо хоть раз сходить туда, чтобы понять самой, интересен ли мне этот театр. Выбор пал на «Игроков» Гоголя. Сходила… И дальше я уже не могла остановиться! «Битва жизни», «Записки покойника», «Мастер и Маргарита»… Это что-то удивительное! Никогда не было такого, чтобы в театре мне нравилось буквально всё – помещение, сцена, зал, режиссура, актерская игра! Буфет, в конце концов! Уходя с каждого спектакля, у меня мелькала мысль: «Наверно это их лучший спектакль, вряд ли что-то сильнее будет», и каждый раз этот театр меня снова поражает и восхищает – будьте любезны, следующий спектакль, еще лучше и интереснее предыдущего. А актерская игра, режиссерские находки! (Позволю себе лирическое отступление. Спроси меня год назад о том, какая театральная труппа Москвы самая сильная, я бы ответила не задумываясь, что это – Мастерская Петра Фоменко. У меня есть вопросы к некоторым спектаклям этого театра, но сыграть они могут все, что угодно – даже то, что мне не представлялось возможным физически сделать. Порой мне кажется, что если в порядке совершенного безумия принести художественному руководителю Мастерской Евгению Каменьковичу пьесу в духе «Телефонный справочник, разыгранный по ролям» в пяти действиях, то он поставит и это. А актеры Мастерской вдохнут в него душу – и вы будете поражены, что можно сопереживать и героям из Телефонного справочника.)
Как вы поняли из предыдущего текста, я влюблена в СТИ окончательно и бесповоротно. Им удалось потеснить с пьедестала даже непобедимых фоменок. Не могу не сказать еще об одной вещи, которую отметила не только я одна. До меня уже упоминали о директоре театра, «будто сошедшем с обложки Vogue». Я более была поражена тем, насколько красивые и благородные лица у актеров этого театра. До сих пор у меня в голове стоп-кадр из «Битвы жизни»: сцена, залитая светом, а в центре сидят две девушки и улыбаются. Знаете, в этой картине гораздо больше красоты, чем в десятке фото моделей с подиума. Непременно посмотрите этот спектакль – один из самых светлых и добрых из тех, что я когда-либо видела (никогда бы не подумала, что ТАК можно поставить Диккенса!).
Восторгаться СТИ можно очень долго, этот театр действительно сконцентрировал в себе лучшие традиции театрального искусства: уважение, доброту и любовь к своему зрителю. Знаете, хочется завершить этот опус хорошими словами хорошего человека, которые очень точно, на мой взгляд, отражают суть СТИ: «Мне кажется, мы просто соскучились по добрым классическим постановкам в этом изобилии авангарда».
P.S. Однажды мой поход в СТИ не состоялся – из-за шквала посетителей в театре, когда утром перед спектаклем было выкуплено огромное количество билетов. Конечно, узнав, что не попаду на спектакль, я не обрадовалась. Но буквально через полчаса я поймала себя на мысли, что искренне рада за СТИ, за людей этого театра – они как никто другой заслужили внимание и любовь зрителя. Они подарили столько впечатлений и приятных воспоминаний – мне радостно, что у них сегодня аншлаг, ведь это действительно театр, в который должна стоять очередь за билетами… И с этими мыслями я поехала и купила билеты на их следующий спектакль.»

A young theater, which is a little over ten years old, and besides, as many have noticed, the word “theater” does not appear in the name, but only “studio” - right, this is not serious! Therefore, for several years I carefully missed invitations to STI on Katya’s wall, then (even more diligently!) I ignored her advice. Given the abundance of young theaters and the number of new performances, I was sure that this theater would not tell me anything new. .. I was very wrong.
Acquaintance began by chance: at some point, I gave up and decided that I had to go there at least once in order to understand for myself whether this theater was of interest to me. The choice fell on the "Players" Gogol. I went ... And then I could not stop! “The Battle of Life”, “Notes of the Dead”, “Master and Margarita” ... This is something amazing! It has never been such that in the theater I liked literally everything - the premises, stage, hall, directing, acting! Buffet in the end! Leaving each performance, I had a thought: “This is probably their best performance, it is unlikely that something will be stronger”, and each time this theater amazes and delights me again - please, the next performance, even better and more interesting than the previous one. A acting game, directorial finds! (I will allow myself a lyrical digression. Ask me a year ago which Moscow theater company is the strongest, I would answer without hesitation that this is the Workshop of Pyotr Fomenko. I have questions for some performances of this theater, but they can play everything that anything - it’s not even possible for me to physically do. Sometimes it seems to me that if, in order of complete madness, to bring the play director in the spirit of the role-playing telephone guide Evgeny Kamenkovich in five acts, then he will put this on. And the actors of the Workshop will breathe a soul into it - and you will be amazed that you can empathize with the heroes from the Telephone Directory.)
As you understood from the previous text, I am in love with STI completely and irrevocably. They managed to squeeze even unbeatable little girls from the pedestal. I cannot but say one more thing that not only I alone noted. Before me, they mentioned the director of the theater, "as if descended from the cover of Vogue." I was more amazed at how beautiful and noble the faces of the actors of this theater are. I still have a still image from the “Battle of Life” in my head: a scene flooded with light, and two girls are sitting in the center and smiling. You know, this picture has much more beauty than a dozen photo models from the catwalk. Be sure to watch this performance - one of the brightest and kindest of those that I have ever seen (I would never have thought that it was SO possible to stage Dickens!).
You can admire STI for a very long time, this theater really concentrated in itself the best traditions of theatrical art: respect, kindness and love for its audience. You know, I want to end this opus with good words from a good person, which very accurately, in my opinion, reflect the essence of STI: “I think we just missed the good classical productions in this abundance of avant-garde.”
P.S. One day my trip to STI did not take place - because of a flurry of visitors in the theater, when a huge number of tickets were bought in the morning before the performance. Of course, when I found out that I wouldn’t get to the play, I was not happy. But literally half an hour later I caught myself thinking that I was sincerely happy for STI, for the people of this theater - they deserved the attention and love of the viewer like no other. They gave so many impressions and pleasant memories - I am glad that they have a full house today, because it really is a theater, which should be in line for tickets ... And with these thoughts I went and bought tickets for their next performance. ”
