Роман Виктюк выбрал для постановки лучшую трагедию английского драматурга XVII века Джона Форда, одного из самых выдающихся современников Шекспира. Режиссер отказался от оригинального названия пьесы «Как жаль, что она развратница», поскольку, как и всегда, вкладывает в свою постановку совершенно особый, важный ему смысл – идею святости любви и то, что любить самой чистой любовью могут только люди, сохранившие в душе невинность ребенка. Поэтому он назвал спектакль «Крылья из пепла».
На сцене – история любви и гибели брата и сестры Джованни и Анабеллы. Виктюк поставил ее как сон о святых детях, мечту о возвышенном, об очищении через страдание, о соединении любящих душ в небесах.
В новой работе Мастера вдохновляло творчество великих – художницы Александры Экстер, одной из основоположников стиля «ар-деко», режиссера и драматурга Антонена Арто и его опытов, композитора-минималиста Джона Кейджа. Благодаря музыке, цвету и световой партитуре спектакля Виктюк оживил само театральное пространство, сделав его движущимся и звучащим.

The director refused the original title of the play “What a pity that she is a lecher”, because, as always, she puts in her production a completely special, important meaning to him - the idea of holiness of love and the fact that only people who have preserved in their souls can love with purest love the innocence of a child. Therefore, he called the play “Wings from the Ashes”.
On stage is the story of the love and death of brother and sister Giovanni and Anabella. Viktyuk set it as a dream about holy children, the dream of the sublime, of purification through suffering, of the union of loving souls in heaven.
In the new work, the Masters were inspired by the work of the greats - the artist Alexandra Exter, one of the founders of the Art Deco style, director and playwright Antonen Artaud and his experiments, minimalist composer John Cage. Thanks to the music, color and light score of the performance, Viktyuk revived the theater space itself, making it moving and sounding.
