Peter Brook is a theater genius, one of the leaders of the theater of the twentieth - twenty-first century. His long and unprecedentedly fruitful life in the theater is a sure mirror of the evolution of modern theater language and theater philosophy: from the daring experiences of the 60s to the classical productions of recent decades. Shakespeare and Chekhov are its two main authors. No one more than Brooke, did not affect the fate of the world theater, including our domestic. The theme “Brooke and Russia” will be given a special place in the lecture.
