Lil Jon — рэпер, музыкальный продюсер и диджей из Атланты. Начал свою карьеру в начале 90-х в качестве местного диджея, а после знакомства с Jermaine Dupri в 1993-ом занялся созданием музыки. В середине 90-х Джон объединяется с рэперами Big Sam и Lil’ Bo для создания группы Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz. Их карьера развивается медленно, но в начале нулевых южный рэп начинает набирать бешеную популярность. Немалую роль в этом сыграл и сам Джон, подсадив мир на жанр кранк, который доминировал в мейнстриме несколько лет.

In the mid-90s, John teamed up with rappers Big Sam and Lil ’Bo to create Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz. Their career is developing slowly, but at the beginning of the 2000s, southern rap began to gain wild popularity. A significant role in this was played by John himself, by hooking the world on the genre of krank, which dominated the mainstream for several years.
