Самый известный роман главного мистика литературы Серебряного века Федора Сологуба «Мелкий бес» главный волшебник театра XXI века Роман Виктюк ставит как магическую расшифровку колдовских букв и слов. Настоящий творец – единственный, кому подвластно менять реальный мир по своей воле. Этим владел автор романа, владеет этим и Виктюк. К «Мелкому бесу» он обращался уже дважды – в Таллинском театре и в Московском театре «Современник», где спектакль имел бешеный успех у публики.
