«Все-таки жизнь - зловещая штука. Одного поломала, другую согнула …»- говорит Славик - один из героев пьесы . Конечно зловещая, что и говорить, но лучше жизни у человека вроде бы ничего и не имеется. Вопрос только в том как ею распорядиться.
Славик - парень не на много старше меня, но переживший войну и даже блокаду младенцем - и то уже плохо понимает свою тетю ,вытащившую его в эту самую жизнь ценой собственной судьбы. Так что же говорить о сегодняшних молодых людях, для которых наша Война - что-то вроде Куликовской битвы, а послевоенные годы – нечто «не в фокусе», о чем наотмашь грызутся в разнообразных телешоу люди полярной полит- и прочей ориентации.
У меня не было намерения «совершенствовать» пьесу А. Володина – дотянуться бы до его глубин и смыслов и помочь молодым актерам увидеть в своих персонажах не музейные восковые фигуры, а живых теплокровных людей , постичь и присвоить их боль, их готовность радоваться малому и, главное – способность любить.
Вот эта, годами не заживающая любовь и есть то главное, что даровано человеку и дает ему силы пройти сквозь ужасы войны, ад блокады, кошмары сталинских репрессий и остаться Человеком.
Глубокая благодарность Веронике Долиной и Юлию Киму, подарившим спектаклю свои блестящие песни и стихи и, тем самым, внесших неоценимый вклад в реализацию задуманного. Низкий поклон светлой памяти русских поэтов и композиторов, чьи стихи и музыка также украшают нашу работу.

“Still, life is an ominous thing. She broke one, bent the other ... ”- says Slavik - one of the heroes of the play. Of course it’s ominous, to be sure, but a person seems to have nothing better than life. The only question is how to dispose of it.
Slavik, a guy who is not much older than me, but who survived the war and even the blockade as a baby, already understands his aunt, who pulled him into this very life at the cost of his own fate. So what can we say about today's young people, for whom our War is something like the Battle of Kulikovo, and the post-war years are something “out of focus”, which people of polar political and other orientations are bitterly biting at in various television shows.
I had no intention of “perfecting” A. Volodin’s play - to reach out to its depths and meanings and help young actors to see in their characters not museum wax figures, but living warm-blooded people, comprehend and appropriate their pain, their readiness to rejoice at little and, the main thing is the ability to love.
This love that has not been healing for years is the main thing that has been granted to man and gives him strength to go through the horrors of war, the hell of the blockade, the nightmares of Stalinist repressions and remain a Man.
Deep gratitude to Veronika Dolina and Julia Kim, who presented their performance with their brilliant songs and poems and, thus, made an invaluable contribution to the implementation of the plan. A low bow to the blessed memory of Russian poets and composers, whose verses and music also adorn our work.
