Спектакль в Большом выпустила постановочная группа, сплошь состоящая из соотечественников Верди, однако события этой кровавой истории они сосредоточили в Америке, как это и было на премьере оперы в присутствии самого композитора. И стало для них это место действия отправной точкой в «принятии» сценического решения. Давиде Ливерморе, режиссер-постановщик и сценограф, – знаток творчества не только Верди, но и Хичкока, великого мастера американского кино в жанре психологического триллера. The production at the Bolshoi was released by a production group consisting entirely of Verdi's compatriots, but they concentrated the events of this bloody story in America, as was the case at the premiere of the opera in the presence of the composer himself. And this place of action became for them the starting point in the "adoption" of the stage decision. David Livermore, stage director and stage designer, is an expert in the work of not only Verdi, but also Hitchcock, the great master of American cinema in the genre of psychological thriller.
