Совершенно случайно попала на выставку, посвященную Николаю Рериху. Его работы с детства поражали меня своим волшебством и красками. Увидеть их вживую для меня просто восторг!
Сюжет картины Madonna Laboris или Труды Мадонны связан с христианской легендой о Богоматери:
"Обеспокоился Апостол Петр, ключарь Рая. Сказывает Господу: "Весь день берегу врата, никого не пускаю, а наутро новые люди в Раю". И сказал Господь: "Пойдем, Петр, ночным дозором". Пошли ночью и видят: Пресвятая Богоматерь опустила за стену рая белоснежный шарф Свой и принимает по нему какие-то души.
Возревновал Петр и вмешаться хотел, но Господь шепнул: "Ш-ш! не мешай!"
