Страны БРИКС обсудят создание «криптоальтернативы доллару»
Страны БРИКС могут обсудить перспективы создания криптовалюты стран — участниц объединения, заявил генеральный директор Российского фонда прямых инвестиций Кирилл Дмитриев, передает корреспондент РБК. Криптовалюта может стать альтернативой доллару США, сейчас расчеты внутри объединения идут в национальных валютах.
По словам Дмитриева, обсуждение криптовалюты БРИКС может пройти на деловом совете объединения. Он пояснил, что в рамках объединения делается фокус на национальные валюты входящих в БРИКС стран, но криптовалюты могут использоваться «в отдельных расчетах». В каких именно, Дмитриев не пояснил.
Глава Минкомсвязи Николай Никифоров ранее в понедельник, 4 сентября, заявлял, что в министерстве идет работа над правилами, регулирующими обращение криптовалют в России. По его словам, главное преимущество криптовалют заключается в расширении бизнес-операций. По его оценкам, через несколько лет «помимо ICO будет 20–30 разных инструментов».
Группа БРИКС объединяет пять стран: Россию, Бразилию, Индию, Китай и ЮАР. Первый формальный саммит четырех стран прошел в июне 2009 года в Екатеринбурге. Южно-Африканская Республика присоединилась к деятельности объединения в августе 2010 года.
Сейчас в рамках БРИКС созданы и действуют Новый банк развития (НБР) и пул резервных валют. НБР занимается финансированием проектов устойчивого развития и инфраструктурных проектов объединения. Пул резервных валют создан в 2015 году, он является рамочным механизмом предоставления поддержки членам объединения при краткосрочных проблемах с платежным балансом.
