Day 12 - A song from your preteen years
Честно говоря, не знаю, каким образом в 98 году в десятилетнем возрасте умудрилась стать фанаткой Depeche Mode - к тому же в Екатеринбурге, где самой софистикейтед музыкой в плейлистах одноклассников были Spice Girls и Prodigy, а о существовании других людей с нормальным музыкальным вкусом я узнала только лет 10 спустя. Тем не менее, вот уже 2/3 жизни эта группа невидимо, но ощутимо присутствует в ней.
Помню мурашки по коже от просмотра It's No Good и Only When I Lose Myself, помню восторг от каждого найденного альбома. Помню позорную попытку купить в киоске первую кассету "дересне моде", которая заставила меня выучить английский, и обмен переписанными с кассеты на кассету бисайдами, бутлегами и фотографиями по почте с ребятами со всей страны. Тогда достать нужную музыку было ещё сложно.
В общем, вот она - музыка моих preteen years, какая уж есть. Мне не очень нравится то, что они делают сейчас, но вряд ли можно найти другую группу, повлиявшую на меня так сильно, как Depeche Mode.

Honestly, I don’t know how in 98 at the age of ten I managed to become a Depeche Mode fan - besides in Yekaterinburg, where the most sophisticated music in classmates playlists were Spice Girls and Prodigy, and I learned about the existence of other people with normal musical taste only about 10 years later. Nevertheless, for 2/3 of life, this group is invisible, but tangibly present in it.
I remember goosebumps from watching It's No Good and Only When I Lose Myself, I remember the excitement of every album I found. I remember the shameful attempt to buy the first "fashion model" cassette at the kiosk, which made me learn English, and the exchange of bisides, bootlegs and photographs copied from cassette to cassette by mail with guys from all over the country. Then it was still difficult to get the right music.
In general, here it is - the music of my preteen years, which is already there. I don’t really like what they are doing now, but it’s hardly possible to find another band that has influenced me as much as Depeche Mode.
